I don't think it's any big secret at this point that Call For Help is ceasing production in Toronto as of the end of January, and moving to Vancouver under a new production house (and a new program name). I was offered the opportunity to be part of the new production on an ongoing basis, but for a number of reasons I'm not prepared to leave Toronto behind -- largely domestic and business reasons -- but I AM going to be joining the new production for a short period at the beginning of the new show's run, to help set up the program and help it transition into its new era.

The Toronto run of Call For Help was a great experience: we got to meet a lot of interesting people, make a lot of lifelong connections, and have a lot of fun along the way. But alas, all good things must come to an end.

Midway through April (after my Vancouver contract comes to an end) I'll be looking for a full-time gig in the Toronto area, plus freelance writing opportunities. And who knows...maybe I'll finally get started on a book or two!

Hey Sean. I would just like to thank you specifically for all the time, effort and enthusiasm that I know you put into Call For Help. I started watching it about a year and a half ago (just after Andy left. That's no shot at him. Just bad timing), and since then I have made so many changes in my tech life. Case in point, I'm typing this on my Core 2 Duo iMac, that I received a week ago. In the past this would have been unheard of, as I had used Windows machines since I had my Commodore 64 back in the day. Thanks to all that you, MikeLaz, Amber, Leo, Andy, and more recently Merlin and Cali (along with all the wonderful guests) have shown me along the way, I had the confidence, and the knowledge to go forth and see what "the other side" had to offer. I couldn't be happier. Please keep the photos coming (that would be like telling you to remember to breathe I think), and I hope that all of you are welcome back when "The Lab" shows up. And as I said before, for selfish reasons, at least this means I still get to watch you and Andy on Labrats each week.

Sean - just to reiterate Doccomoli's comments, thanks for everything. CFH and LabRats have been a tremendously enjoyable part of increasing my knowledge about all things tech and have seen me finally make the transition to Mac. I'll be sorry that the renovated version of CFH will eventually lose you but looking forward to continuing the association through LabRats and whatever other things you do.
